"The illustrator"

A practice piece Im still actually working on - but both the piece and me needed a breather, so I hope you´ll enjoy it for what it is at this point.
On a technical note; when I do non-client work and just go off on my own, I try to stear clear from photographic textures, just to work out my own artistic muscles when it comes to texturing. I have nothing against photographic textures and use it occasionally, but I strongly belive that its healthy from an artistic point of view to - sometimes - break free from that crutch.
