Vacation painting

Yes, Im having four weeks off from work right now and since Im working fulltime on an animated film, that means Im pretty much obliged to stay away from the drawing table, but sometimes I just have to try out some stuff anyways. This image started with a cloud-exercise - doing fast, proffesional work its easy to just slap on some photographic images of clouds since you often wanna spend most of the time with characters and story, so this was a good opportunity to stay away from that shortcut and paint it all. The rest kind of evolved around said clouds. (On a bonus-note I also learned how to paint emperor-penguins. ;))
